I lived in Akabane house for a year and I really liked it, it's close to the train/subway station and it takes about 10 min to walk to the supermarket, it's really convenient and close to the stores you need. It lies in a very calm area and it is a beautiful area to take walks in.
The residents that lived in the house at the same time as me were all great and we did stuff together quite often we sometimes went to karaoke or eat out or just watch a movie together in the common room. I have some really great memories from Akabane house and the people who lived there.
When I first came to Akabane house, it was much bigger than I was expecting having heard of stories from people who live in Tokyo. There is Seiyu and Daiei on the way home from the station, so it’s super convenient to buy groceries. There are also a lot of restaurants on the way home for those lazy days. I love the people at the house because we often gather in the living room and watch weekday dramas, and plan outings outside of Tokyo together! The monthly events also connects all the houses and I was able to make many friends from them :) Great experience overall!
